How To Give A Back Massage For Some Who Has Herneiated Disk

Pain management clinic. What can I expect?

I have recurrent pancreatitis, non-specific colitis and horrible upper back, neck, arm and hand pain. The back pain we are still trying to figure out the cause. My doctors are sending me to a pain management clinic now because taking 2 10mg Lortab per day isn’t doing enough. What can I expect? Only 2 pills per day doesn’t give me the all day relief I need, but helps somewhat. My quality of life isn’t good and I have a lot of trouble sleeping. I have trouble caring for my 4 month old twins because of the arm and hand pain as well. I’d like to hear from pain management patients what their experiences have been like and what kind of treatment they get. Thank you so much.
I would consider any pain relief, not just drugs. I just need to not be in this degree of pain anymore.

Sharp pain in upper back, behind left lung?

I have a sharp pain that has been coming and going all day. It’s fine if I take a deep breath, no pain, but I will just randomly feel a pinch in the spot like right next to my left shoulder blade. Any thoughts on what this could be?

Neck/Back Pain, Whiplash injury, head & chest pain?

I had a car accident in December just 2 weeks after giving birth and suffered whiplash – I was told where my ligaments were softened still from the pregnancy the recovery could be longer. I have been having physio for this. I have been getting neck and back pain but also lately I get headaches (up into the back of the skull), chest pain and shoulder pain. Do you think this is all in relation to the injury? These latest symptoms have only come on recently but I have been told everything can be related? I am fed up of taking painkillers, are there any natural pain relief available that anyone else has tried that is good and how long does it normally take for things to get back to normal? Bearing in mind, I have a young baby that requires a lot of lifting etc that I can’t rest.

All of life is related and is in constant motion and interactions so a nexus can be placed with your injury to the collision…or something else too.

Regardless of that, I would continue with Physical Therapy and the pain meds as necessary. Maybe you can locate a good chiropractor and acupuncturist too.

I found that the people who are elders who are willing to learn and change their beliefs with practice and experience work the best….

If you can, try getting into a pool for PT…maybe bring baby with you and you both can have fun…

Have known of a man who they said would not walk but with his Friend and a year of PT in a pool…he was walking

How much pain is normal with gallstones?

Okay so over the weekend i was in hospital with sever chest stomach and back pains. The pains were like I was wearing an extremely tight bra, and were constant but dull. The docotrs in the emergency ward told me i had gastric reflux, and sent me home with pain relief and an order to see my doctor. I saw my gp, and got an ultrasound done, turns out I have several gallstones, and they are rather large. We aren’t quite sure what they are made of just yet, but i’m thinking cholesterol. I’m still in quite a lot of pain, though mostly in my upper abdomen, which feels slightly hard to the touch. It’s worse first thing in the morning, and makes it hard to sleep at night. The doctor also said that there is no sign of a blockage or infection in my gallbladder either. My question is, how much pain is normal with gallstones, what can I take to relieve the pain, and does it sound liek i may have a bloakcge that needs to be checked out?
I also meant to ask if the pain is supposed to be constant, everything I have read mentions ‘attacks’, and pain lasting 4-5 hours. Any clues?

Why do I get a sharp pain on the back upper left side of my head when I get angry?

My kids get my goat a lot and I become like phycho and angry. The problem is that I do this and I get a sharp pain on the upper left backside of head. This pain of course caused from the pressure put there when I became angry. I then feel a headache the rest of the day. What could this be? Any way to relieve this?

I get an intense pain in my lower back when I do leg lifts. Why do i get this?

I start with my legs flat on the ground and raise them all the way up until they are perpendicular with my torso. I looked online and found out that the fact that I am getting pain from doing this could mean that I have a herniated disk. Someone help me figure out what’s wrong!!!
