Advice/experience re CT guided epidural treatment (back)?

Shin splints (chronic bilateral tibial tenoperiostitis) and back disc prolapse L5/S1 with nerve root pain. Had the epidural yesterday and have been fine apart from initial nasty headache, but that has worn off – Went to a job interview today as I feel fine but should have been resting! Wondered if anyone would like to share their experience with this procedure.
Have had two sessions of prednisolone in the past; first time worked well, second time zilch. Wondered if this current treatment worked as a permanent fix for anyone – if so required several sessions, once off, of it or was it ineffective completely?
Have heard of a treatment where they cauterise the nerve – Does this also work?
I know a lot of questions but am at the point of trying just about anything to fix the problem.
Thank you for reading this far…if you have.

had both only worked temporarily but it depends on the patient some people are great for years!!!
all the best dont overdo it
