I normally have a considerable amount of head and neck pain (already seeing a doctor for this), but after being involved in a car wreck my neck pain is gone. Should I see my doctor about this or consider the lack of normal pain a good thing?

I had a friend who had severe whiplash and neck pain because of a car accident. He went to several specialists and they said he may need neck surgery with possibility to become paralyzed. My friend refused and lived with the pain for the next six years and just would pray to God out of desperation. After six years when he had gone overseas for a vacation, his car was hit again from behind by another car and his whiplash and neck pain were gone forever. May be the same happened to you. I’ve had the same problem and a chiropractor is the way to go. Generally the problem is caused from losing the natural arch in your neck which throws the weight distribution off for your head and your head tends to start to lean forward. This causes muscle strain and pinched nerves. Over time calcium deposits start to grow and put pressure on the cartilage which is what causes the popping and crunching noises that you hear when you move your neck. If the problem is not too advanced, you can use a neck traction device every night and start doing exercises.
The traction device is basically a weighted harness that is put on your head, a round pillow to go under your neck while you lay on your back on a flat surface with the weight pulling you head downward. This helps to break down the calcium deposits and reform the natural arch in your neck.
There are 3 exercises to strengthen the neck muscles and break down the calcium deposits, 1st forward and back, chin to chest and then tilt head back as far as posible, 20 times each direction. 2nd looking over your shoulders each direction 20 times. 3rd tilting your head side to side like touching your ear to your shoulders, also 20 times each direction. Do all movments slowly and go as far as you can without strain or discomfort.
If you want to skip the chiropractor, you can roll up a towel, place it under your neck and hang your headover the edge of a drop off. If you can devise a way to get about 2 lbs of pressure or have a friend hold put slight downward pressure it would be best. With pressure you should remain like this 3 to 5 mins per day, without pressure 10 to 15 mins. The traction and exercises need to be done daily. When I put my hand on this scar, my fingers, lightly sink inside, as if it is empty, which it is. The psychological manipulation is extreme. I took pictures, of my but, on film. This shows a cut only of 8 inches. I discovered the extent of this scar, only, in nov of 2007. Why? because I believed the picture, that came back from printers, in 2002. The system is so crooked.
