I have had increasingly severe back pain and leg numbness to the point that I can sometimes barely walk. Will the doctor induce labor for that?

No, it sounds like you have sciatic , I had it also around that time in the pregnancy, if you haven’t dropped yet, when you do the pressure from your baby will relieve that pain, or you maybe just dropped a little and it is putting pressure of your back. sciatic is when you have a pinched nerve in your back that causes back pain as well as leg numbness, there was also times where it was really hard to walk, my doctor took me off work early because of it. I use to take a tylenol or two to relieve the pain, I was also given a list of stretches to do, and was told to do hot and cold compressions on my lower back to relieve some pressure. Hang in there I know it’s not the funnest thing to go through, but it should go ways soon enough, I had it for a couple weeks then she finally moved down and let off some of that pressure on the nerve. good luck!

What is causing my lower right side back pain?

Since early this morning I have been having pain in the lower right side of my back. Right above the hip. Then when I went to use the restroom after I went there was some blood. Then after that I went several times more and there was no blood. Anyone have any clue as to what this can be?

I have had pain in the lower right side of my back for about a year now, but which has got worse in the last two months. Having seen a Doctor and Physiotherapist I’ve come to the conclusion that it has been the result of bad posture, i.e. slouching in chairs, not bending knees when lifting heavy things.

Lower back pain is keeping me awake. Any suggestions on some tips for relief?

I cannot take over the counter meds (asprin/ibuprofen/etc.). Anyone know of anyone home remedies or other things i can do for some relief?

If this is due to back muscles spasms that you just have to wait
for them to relax….applied heat works….or take a hot shower, then put heat spray or muscle heat rub on right away, and it
will go into the pores, and does help. Also muscle relaxers help for this type of back problem. I used to have them so bad I was really laid up….the doctors say to prop your legs up with a pillow under them, while you are lying on your back…or also put the pillow between you knees…not sure why, but it does help those muscles to relax.

If it is caused by something else…I would still try the heat method….can you take tylenol…I can’t take some things, but the hospitals use tylenol a lot. (not sure I’m spelling it right).

Feel for you…it is not fun to have your back hurting. If it is back spasms…you can improve things by doing some exercises to strengthen those muscles.(when you are feeling better) Not sure why I used to have them a lot, and now don’t at all. May give you some hope they will go away. I did kind of learn when it was coming on and would ward it off with the heat spray right away.
